DOUBLE: Frantic Assembly - Intro and warm ups

Frantic Assembly

Who are Frantic?

"Frantic Assembly creates thrilling, energetic and unforgettable theatre. The company attracts new and young audiences with work that reflects contemporary culture. Vivid and dynamic, Frantic Assembly's unique physical style combines movement, design, music and text."

Warm ups

"Our warm ups are normally an hour long and take place every morning. We do this as a team and the stage crew are welcome to join in as much or as little as they want. They are dependent on the production and the cast involved but are generally progressive. They are designed to build skills, strength and flexibility and always take the participant forward. By that I mean they are designed to show the performer that they are getting stronger and better, eg, Monday they were doing reps of 7 press ups so on Thursday they will be doing reps of 10 press ups and Friday they will be doing reps of 11. This shows progress. This is important. Confidence comes from tangible results.

Often we work with actors and dancers who might be out of their comfort zone. They may never have done press ups or dance warm ups. Warm ups are about building up a trust and confidence among the cast. Within the warm up we will focus on building up specific strength or technique if we identify the need."
